The southern region of Thailand is currently battling one of its most challenging floods in recent years, and Hat Yai has become one of the hardest-hit areas. With roads submerged, rescue routes blocked, and residents stuck indoors, public concern has grown massively — and so has the wave of people stepping up to help.
Among the first well-known figures to take action is actor Nine Naphat (Naphat Siangsomboon), who has been making rapid moves over the past 48 hours to send real, practical support directly to the frontline.
Three Motorboats Shipped Out as Immediate Aid
When the flood situation reached a critical point, Nine quickly coordinated behind the scenes to secure three motorised boats for Hat Yai.

He publicly shared that the boats were fully prepared, engines installed, and ready to be transported as soon as a capable rescue crew could take over on site.
Instead of simply donating equipment and stepping back, Nine personally reached out via his social platforms, calling for experienced rescue teams and volunteers who were ready to go straight into the field.
He emphasised that these teams would act on his behalf on the ground, making sure the boats weren’t just symbolic aid but genuinely useful tools in the rescue operation.
Not long after, he returned with an update:
“Got the team sorted,” he said, confirming that qualified volunteers had already stepped forward and were gearing up to deploy.
Escalating Support: Nine Secures a Plane for Emergency Transfers
By 26 November, the situation worsened — especially for residents who needed urgent medical transfers.

Nine followed up with another request: this time, he asked for assistance in the form of a helicopter or aircraft capable of transporting people in critical condition.
Amazingly, he received a response almost immediately.
Thanks to support from Thai SeaPlane, Nine confirmed that one emergency-ready aircraft had been provided. The seats inside were removed to maximise space, making the plane suitable for:
-
Transporting up to two emergency patients (in cooperation with medical council protocols)
-
Carrying essential emergency supplies that needed urgent delivery
-
Flying between Songkhla – Hat Yai – Bangkok and nearby areas
Nine highlighted that this plane was exclusively for genuine emergency cases, asking hospitals or relevant agencies to contact him directly for immediate coordination.
The speed of Nine’s response sparked a wave of appreciation online.
Many thanked him for stepping up without hesitation, while others said they had rescue teams ready to help but lacked equipment — and were eager to join the effort now that boats and support vehicles were available.
His actions have become a standout example of what solidarity looks like in a crisis: fast, direct, and focused on practical outcomes.
