| Love on the Turquoise Land Surges in Ratings, Dominates Charts Within Three Days |
Love on the Turquoise Land is barely out of the gate, but Dilraba Dilmurat and Oliver Chen Xingxu have already kicked off a full-scale takeover of the Chinese drama charts. The urban-fantasy series is proving to be one of Tencent’s boldest launches this quarter, smashing early records and showing no signs of slowing down.
The show opened strong on Yunhe Data, clocking an EVP of 6.7% on its premiere day, instantly landing in fourth place among all currently airing dramas.
Fans barely had time to breathe before the numbers shot up — Day 2 saw a jump to 11.9%, lifting the series to third overall. For a fresh release to climb that fast, that early? It’s a clear sign the buzz isn’t just noise.
And it’s not just Yunhe feeling the heat. Over on Maoyan Professional Edition, Love on the Turquoise Land secured the No. 1 spot as the most popular Chinese drama of the day — a decisive win among a crowded slate of new releases.
Cast Popularity Is Surging Too
Dilraba’s star power has been on full display this week. Playing the fierce yet grounded hunter Nie Jiu Luo, she snatched the top position on the Week 47 Popular Character Chart with 17,477 points. Chen Xingxu isn’t far behind — his character Yan Tuo pulled 16,560 points, earning him a solid third place.
On social media, Dilraba is enjoying another breakout moment.
Her Weibo character index has hit 60 million, and related tags have easily crossed 10 million — the kind of traction usually reserved for established mega-hits.

Record-Breaking Premiere Numbers
As already highlighted earlier by Tonboriday, the drama’s launch on Tencent Video and WeTV on 22 November didn’t just get good numbers — it set the bar.
The platform’s popularity heat index surged from 20,000 to 25,000 in just a few hours, confirming that interest was explosive from the very start.
A Story Built for High Engagement
Adapted from Wei Yu’s novel, the series follows Nie Jiu Luo, a hunter raised in the wilds of Mount Nan, and Yan Tuo, an outsider from an opposing faction.
What begins as a collision of two worlds slowly turns into an unlikely alliance as they take on a mysterious force looming over their homeland.
It’s fantasy, action, and emotional tension wrapped in one high-production package — exactly the kind of mix that tends to dominate year-end rankings.
Competition Remains Fierce
Even with its strong run, Love on the Turquoise Land isn’t cruising alone.
The historical romance Fight for Love (山河枕), starring Victoria Song Qian and Ding Yuxi, continues to hold its ground. Ding Yuxi’s character even clinched second place on the Week 47 character chart with 16,572 points, keeping the pressure on his rivals.
With both dramas firing up their fanbases, the viewing landscape heading into December looks packed — but for now, Love on the Turquoise Land is clearly leading the charge.
