Yan rose to fame in the 1990s as one of ATV’s leading men, most notably portraying Zhan Zhao in the 1994 Hong Kong drama Heroic Legend of the Yang’s Family.
His refined looks, heroic aura, and natural charisma earned him the nickname “The Handsomest Zhan Zhao in Hong Kong TV history.”
After a period away from the spotlight, Yan had recently returned to Hong Kong to pick up his acting career again.
