Concerns over Chinese actor Guo Junchen have flared up again after wild death rumours spread across social media, echoing the tragic buzz surrounding actor Alan Yu Menglong back in September.
What started as a bizarre paranormal claim quickly spiralled into one of the strangest online controversies in recent C-ent gossip.

TikTok Paranormal Stream Kicks Off the Drama
The whole thing began when British self-proclaimed paranormal expert Ty William claimed during a livestream that he had “seen” through supernatural means that Guo Junchen had been murdered and possibly replaced by a body double.
That statement alone was enough to ignite weeks of speculation online, with fans on TikTok, Threads, and Weibo trading screenshots and “evidence” at lightning speed.
Fans Step In with Airport Footage — And It Backfires
Trying to clear the air, some loyal fans shared airport photos and clips of Guo Junchen taken on 5 November, showing him masked up, waving to supporters, and moving normally through the terminal.
Instead of calming the situation, though, it only made things worse.

Sharp-eyed users began comparing screenshots, pointing out supposed differences in ear shape, eye size, and facial structure.
Some insisted it wasn’t really him at all, while others suggested the actor might be keeping his mask on for “safety reasons” or due to “injuries.”
What was meant to prove he’s fine ended up fuelling fresh “body double” chatter.

Threads and Weibo Light Up with “Hidden Message” Theories
The debate reached a new level after Guo Junchen posted a short update on Weibo, simply saying “好吃” (“delicious”).
Sounds harmless enough — but some netizens quickly connected it to Yu Menglong’s earlier case, where director Cheng Qingsong had posted the same phrase soon after that tragedy.
Cue the theories: was “好吃” some kind of coded message? A secret sign?
So far, there’s no evidence to support any of that — it’s purely fan speculation — but the idea spread fast across Threads and Weibo comment sections, turning an ordinary food post into a trending mystery.

No Official Response Yet
As of now, Guo Junchen’s studio hasn’t released any statement addressing the rumours.
While there’s absolutely no verified information confirming the wild claims about body doubles or hidden meanings, the whole saga has reignited debates about privacy, fandom panic, and the darker sides of online speculation in the Chinese entertainment world.
For now, fans are hoping the actor himself will soon make a proper public appearance — and put an end to one of the most surreal internet theories of 2025.
