Filming took place on 3 September in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan. One of the main highlights was Sun Beach Hitotsuba, where loyal fans even turned up in person to catch a glimpse of the shoot.
Other picturesque locations include Aoshima in Miyazaki City and Sun Messe Nichinan in Nichinan City.
The warm coastal scenery perfectly complements the song’s youthful charm, giving the MV a gentle summer glow that feels both nostalgic and refreshing.
With its retro flair and pure, carefree tone, Golden Coast stands as a sweet new beginning for the Under Girls.
It’s simple, pretty, and emotionally familiar, making it easy to replay.
Japanese fans of the wider AKB48 family have also shared their thoughts, with many expressing surprise and praise for the MV’s visuals and choreography.
Some long-time AKB48 supporters even noted that SNH48's Golden Coast brings back memories of AKB48’s golden era, reminding them of what made the idol concept so special in the first place.
This reaction is particularly interesting considering that SNH48 officially split from the AKB48 family in 2016.
Despite that history, Golden Coast has clearly struck a chord across both fandoms, proving that a well-crafted song and a heartfelt MV can still bridge nostalgia and fresh excitement.
Golden Coast is now out on all official SNH48 platforms, marking another bright moment in the group’s evolving journey.
