The Beijing fan event for Love on the Turquoise Land on 25 November turned into a full-on celebration as stars Dilraba Dilmurat, Oliver Chen Xingxu, and Zhang Li appeared on stage together. Fans packed the venue, buzzing to hear the trio spill behind-the-scenes stories from the fantasy romance that’s been trending since release.
The moment the cast stepped onto the red carpet, the atmosphere shifted.
Dilraba arrived in a striking black gown with paneled details and vintage-style jewellery — the sort of look that mixes elegance with a quiet dominance. Her aura was instantly the focus.
Chen Xingxu kept things sleek in a tailored black suit, effortlessly gentlemanly and sharp.
Zhang Li followed with a timeless black ensemble that radiated grace and maturity.
All three looked like they stepped straight out of a high-fashion editorial.

Things became even livelier once they hit the interaction segment. The cast performed a trending gesture dance, and the crowd absolutely lost it.
Then came the fan-favourite moment — Dilraba and Chen Xingxu reenacting their iconic “passing by” scene, the one that highlights their so-called “Double A” chemistry: two strong, dominant characters who somehow still balance each other perfectly.
During the mystery box game, Dilireba went full fearless mode, plunging her hand in without the slightest hesitation.
Fans couldn’t help laughing at how bold she suddenly seemed, especially compared to her usual gentle off-screen vibe.
A comedic highlight came when Chen Xingxu, half-joking and half-roleplaying, held up a black card and declared he could recruit the whole audience into “his company”.
Someone shouted, “Do we still get a salary without working?”
Without missing a beat, Dilraba shot back, “You’re dreaming even more than Ding Xiao,” instantly sending everyone into fits.
The timing, the tone — flawless.
Training for the Role: Relearning Swimming from Zero
For those who aren't aware, #Dilraba used to have strong fear of water since she almost drowned when she was a child. She took steps to overcome it by taking swimming lessons

Also like Nie Jiuluo, Reba, ironically enjoys high adrenaline activities like bungee jumping 😅😂 https://t.co/8P54zvnSDq pic.twitter.com/gZEWwbPFVZ
Fans were particularly drawn to Dilraba’s discussion about preparing for her character Nie Jiuluo, who has several water-heavy scenes.
She admitted she hadn’t properly swum since 2018, meaning she had to relearn the skill from scratch.
The actress also confessed she had to push through a fear of water — something many fans didn’t realise until now.
She praised the production team for being extremely cautious with all water-related scenes, stressing that she never felt unsafe despite her initial nerves.

Losing 3kg During Filming — Without Evening Meals
A clip from backstage chatter between Reba and Chen Xingxu has been circulating on Weibo.
In it, she mentions casually that she lost 6 jin (roughly 3kg) during filming.
Naturally, Chen Xingxu — known for his intense fitness routine and strict diet — asked what her method was.
Dilraba’s answer? “I just don’t eat dinner.”
Fans joked that Chen Xingxu looked spiritually defeated, especially since he’s been working out tirelessly while Dilraba seemingly dropped weight with minimal effort.

Despite the weight change, she appeared in top shape on screen — slimmer but still well-proportioned, and her features looked especially crisp under production lighting.
Her action scenes have been widely praised for how clean and fluid they look.
No stiffness, no awkward transitions — just smooth movements that elevate both the character’s strength and Dilraba’s on-screen presence.
The combination of improved physique, relearned swimming skills, and polished movement work adds a noticeable layer of refinement to her performance this time around.
