| Fans Still Waiting: Kary Ng Says Comeback Will Happen When the Time Feels Right |
Hong Kong singer Kary Ng is taking her time before stepping back into the spotlight.
It’s been a full decade since we last heard new music from Hong Kong singer Kary Ng, and honestly? She’s perfectly fine with that.
The singer recently made a rare public appearance alongside her husband — tennis star Brian Hung — and revealed she has no plans to rush back into the spotlight just yet.
Speaking to the media after guest-performing at Sammi Cheng’s concert, Kary admitted she’s still figuring out when the right time will be for a comeback.
“I’m still planning when I’ll return to music,” she said.
“Right now, I’m balancing career and family. My children are still young, so I want to give them most of my attention.”
The 38-year-old singer, known for her energetic pop hits back in the day, laughed when asked if her kids know about her musical past.
“They’ve never seen me perform live, and I rarely play my songs for them,” she said.
“But funny enough, they all seem to have that little spark for performing — maybe it runs in the blood!”
Kary went on to share that her eldest son is now seven years old, while her two daughters are six and three.
“We’re quite busy taking care of the kids,” she said with a smile, “but my husband and I made a promise to still spend time together — we try to set aside one or two days each month just for ourselves.”
For now, Kary seems completely content enjoying family life while keeping her love for music simmering in the background.
As she put it, her comeback will happen — just not before she’s ready.
