After days of messy gossip spreading online, Taiwanese actor-singer Prince Chiu (Wang Zi) has finally come forward to speak about the rumours linking him to Meigo/GuoGuo (Chiang Weilin), the wife of fellow artist Zack Fanchiang.
In a long post shared on his social media, Prince Chiu admitted that he did know Meigo during her marriage breakdown — but stressed that things weren’t what the internet had made them out to be.

He explained that while their bond began out of simple concern, he eventually “went past the line between a friend and a listener.”
“Everything started from care and sympathy,” he wrote.
“But the way I showed it wasn’t right. A mistake’s still a mistake — no excuses. I’ll be more careful next time.”
Clearing His Name
Prince was quick to deny claims that he had any bad intentions or secret relationship behind Zack’s back.
He made it clear that what happened wasn’t a hidden affair nor a deliberate attempt to interfere in anyone’s marriage.
“There was no evil plan or hidden motive,” he said.
“It wasn’t a relationship built on lies.”
He went on to apologise to everyone affected — from Zack Fanchiang and Meigo’s family to his own fans who’ve been left disappointed and confused by the situation.
“I truly regret making people worry and feel let down. I’ll take this as a lesson to do better as a person,” he wrote, ending with a simple, “I’m sorry.”
Emma Wu Keeps Her Distance
Meanwhile, Emma Wu, Prince Chiu’s long-time friend and former colleague, attended a public event on 29 October.
When reporters asked if she was still in touch with him, she smiled and said that their lives had grown apart.
“After becoming a mum, my world’s changed quite a bit,” Emma shared. “We don’t really talk much these days.”
She also addressed the scandal briefly but calmly:
“I saw the news but didn’t read the details. We haven’t talked in ages, so I don’t know much about it.”
Zack’s Side of the Story
Earlier, musician Zack Fanchiang claimed that he had found solid evidence of an affair between his wife and Prince, saying his trust had been “shattered.”
He said Guoguo denied everything when confronted, though he alleged that she continued to stay in contact with Prince even after their arguments.
Neither Zack Fanchiang nor Guoguo has issued new public statements since Prince Chiu’s apology, leaving fans debating online about what really happened and who’s telling the full truth.
For now, Prince Chiu seems intent on keeping his head down and letting the noise fade.
His apology — part confession, part clarification — shows humility but still leaves plenty of grey area for fans and critics to interpret.
Whether this moment becomes a short-lived scandal or a major turning point in his career depends on how he follows up from here.
One thing’s certain: he’s owned up to crossing a line, and now all eyes are watching to see if he can walk the right one.
