| Nogizaka46 Serve Up 40th Single ‘Biryani’ with Double Centre Freshness! |
Nogizaka46 are turning up the spice for their milestone 40th single — officially titled “Biryani (ビリヤニ)”, set to drop on 26 November 2025.
The announcement came with sleek new visuals and, of course, a surprise or two for fans who’ve been eagerly waiting for the next chapter in the group’s evolution.
🌸 Fresh Centres, Fresh Era
The new single will feature a double-centre line-up — Setoguchi Mitsuki from Kagoshima and Yada Moeka from Akita, both representing the 6th generation.
This marks the very first time these two newcomers take centre stage, and the first time they’ve even been selected for Senbatsu.
Quite the jumpstart, isn’t it?

Their selection was officially unveiled during Nogizaka Koujichuu, the group’s long-running TV Tokyo show, where fans got to witness the line-up reveal live.
Both Mitsuki and Moeka, who only debuted earlier this year, are already being praised online for their charm and balanced energy — a fitting combo for a track with such a unique name.

💜 A Farewell That Feels Bittersweet
While the spotlight shines on the new faces, the release will also mark a major turning point: Kubo Shiori’s final single before graduation.
A special “Kubo Shiori edition” of Biryani will be released to commemorate her journey — a touching nod to one of the group’s most beloved 3rd-gen members.
Her graduation concert at Yokohama Arena, conveniently scheduled on the same date as the single’s release, is expected to be an emotional night celebrating her years with the group.

Nogizaka46’s 40th single will come in several formats — Type-A to Type-D (with Blu-ray) and a standard CD-only edition.
Each version includes the usual goodies: a random member photo and a serial code for fan events.
Pricing remains friendly for collectors, sitting around ¥2,000 for limited editions and ¥1,200 for the standard one.
🎤 Upcoming Performances
Before the single officially lands, Nogizaka46 will be performing at TV Asahi Dream Festival 2025 at Makuhari Messe on 1 November, followed by a string of 6th-generation live shows throughout November at Tokyo’s THEATER MILANO-Za.
The grand finale? Kubo Shiori’s graduation concert on 26–27 November — perfectly timed with Biryani’s release.

For the 40th single, the Senbatsu line-up sticks to the familiar three-row system:
Front Row: Kaki Haruka, Setoguchi Mitsuki ★, Yada Moeka ★, Endo Sakura.
Second Row: Kawasaki Sakura, Inoue Nagi, Kubo Shiori, Ichinose Miku, Ikeda Teresa.
Third Row: Ogawa Aya, Yumiki Nao, Nakanishi Aruno, Umezawa Minami, Sugawara Satsuki, Tsutsui Ayame, Okamoto Hina

“Biryani” isn’t just another Nogizaka46 single — it’s a flavourful mix of beginnings and goodbyes.
The symbolic double-centre debut from the 6th generation sits perfectly alongside Kubo Shiori’s farewell moment, making this a release that blends nostalgia and new energy in true Nogizaka fashion.
Fans already can’t stop guessing how the track will sound — something spicy, maybe?
Either way, November’s shaping up to be a delicious month for Nogizaka fans everywhere. 🍛💜
