| “Every Woman Needs a Job to Feel Alive,” Says Lynn Hung as She Returns to Work (Photo: HK01) |
After years of keeping a low profile to focus on motherhood, Hong Kong model-actress Xiong Dailin a.k.a Lynn Hung is finally back in full swing — and she’s not holding back about how much she’s enjoying the return.
Speaking at a beauty event in Causeway Bay, Lynn Hung looked radiant as she talked about stepping back into the spotlight.
“Even though I’m super busy taking care of my daughters, I honestly think every woman needs to work. Staying home all day feels dull — no goals, no sense of achievement. I just felt like I’d lost my self-worth and confidence,” she shared candidly.
The 43-year-old star admitted that being away from work made her feel disconnected from society and even affected her conversations with husband Kenneth Kwok — who happens to be actress Kenix Kwok’s brother.

“When you’re home too long, you run out of things to talk about,” Lynn laughed.
“Now that I’m working again, especially spending half my time in mainland China, we actually talk more. We chat on the phone every day — he keeps saying he misses me. It’s even sweeter than before!”
Lynn Hung, who is mum to seven-year-old twin daughters, also revealed that her kids have been surprisingly understanding about her work schedule.
“They’re in that slightly rebellious phase — arguing over toys and talking back a little — but I’m a tiger mum, so they still behave when I give ‘the look’,” she joked.
When asked if she plans to have more children, Lynn waved the idea off with a laugh.

“At my age? No way. Getting back in shape was already hard enough!”
As for her ex-boyfriend Aaron Kwok, who’s reportedly expecting another child, Lynn Hung said she’s seen the news but didn’t seem too fussed.
“It’s impossible not to see it, really. Everyone’s been congratulating him — I’ll let you guys handle that,” she replied playfully.
With her confidence renewed and work lined up both in Hong Kong and the mainland, Lynn Hung seems ready to reclaim her spot in the entertainment scene — this time, on her own terms.
