After Yu Menglong’s Death, Guo Junchen Becomes Target of Conspiracy Theories
Guo Junchen’s Studio Fires Back at Wild Online Rumours Linking Him to Song Yiren

After the shocking death of actor Alan Yuu Menglong, the Chinese internet hasn’t exactly been calm. Conspiracy theories have been flying left and right, and somehow actor Guo Junchen found himself dragged into the chaos — all because some people think he looks like Yu and once worked with actress Song Yiren.

Birthday Livestream Sparks Wild Speculation

On October 1, Guo Junchen went live to celebrate his birthday. It should’ve been a wholesome moment — a cute cake, some light chat, and birthday wishes from fans.

But instead, some netizens started pointing fingers at the peach-shaped longevity cake, saying it had “hidden meaning.”

A few even went further, analysing his gestures frame by frame and claiming he was making a “cry for help.”

Within hours, the livestream clips went viral on Weibo, and his comment section turned into a conspiracy forum.

Guo Junchen Responds to Rumours Connecting Him to Alan Yu Menglong’s Death

Following Yu Menglong’s sudden passing last month, some corners of the internet began obsessively searching for “patterns” — linking Yu Menglong’s so-called 540 hand gesture to a supposed distress signal and even spreading unfounded claims about firearm-related trademarks under his studio.

When Guo Junchen’s name popped up with similar hand gestures and a random rumour about shell companies, the “next target” theory was born.

But so far, there’s zero verified evidence behind any of these claims.

Studio Issues Official Statement

Fed up with the chaos, Guo Junchen through his studio released a lengthy official statement on October 10, calling out the rumours as completely fabricated.

The post reads, in part:

Recently, certain individuals have been spreading false reports and manipulating public opinion under the guise of concern. These actions have caused serious misunderstanding and disrupted Mr. Guo Junchen’s normal life and work. The studio has collected evidence and cooperated with public security on October 9 to verify the situation.”

The statement also confirmed that Guo Junchen is safe, has not been threatened, and is focusing on his work as usual.

It added that legal action will be taken against anyone spreading malicious rumours or submitting false police reports, which the team said has already happened.

Guo Junchen Denies Rumours Linking Him to Alan Yu Menglong’s Death

Supporters quickly rallied behind Guo Junchen online, saying the whole situation has spiralled into paranoia.

“Not everything is a hidden message — sometimes people just wave or smile,” one fan commented. Another joked, “Can’t even eat cake in peace anymore.”

Meanwhile, Song Yiren — who previously denied any involvement in Yu Menglong’s situation — continues to have her name dragged into online discussions despite releasing her own clarification weeks ago.

Guo Junchen is reportedly taking a short break and plans to resume work once the buzz dies down.

His team has urged everyone to “stay rational” and stop spreading unverified claims, reminding fans to focus on the actor’s work rather than internet conspiracies.

For now, it seems the online storm might be calming — but in the unpredictable world of C-ent gossip, peace rarely lasts long.
