| Fans Praise Guli Nazha’s Professional Response to Viral Dressing Room Claims |
C-netz went wild on 12 October after whispers spread that Chinese actress Guli Nazha (Gulnazar) had her dressing room “taken over” by another female celebrity during a fashion event.
The unidentified actress, described only as having a “two-character name”, allegedly locked Nazha’s room and refused to open the door — sparking a full-blown Weibo frenzy overnight.
Rumours claimed the incident happened at a VOGUE fashion event in Shenzhen, where Nazha was one of the featured guests.
After finishing her live segment, she reportedly returned to find her assigned room locked.
Staff knocked repeatedly but got no answer, leading organisers to provide her with a separate space to rest.
The vague description of the “two-character” actress — said to be of modest fame but often trending — quickly set netizens guessing.
Many jumped to the conclusion that it referred to Lin Yun, based on hints circulating online.

Within hours, the speculation became one of Weibo’s top searches.
However, Nazha’s management swiftly responded, pouring cold water on the rumour mill.
In an official statement, they stressed there was no conflict or deliberate act involved, and that backstage logistics can often be unpredictable during large-scale events.
“A big event naturally comes with last-minute adjustments. Everyone helps one another — it’s common for female artists to share spaces to change outfits or fix their makeup between segments,” the team said.

They went on to clarify that backstage areas are shared and flexible, not permanently assigned to any single artist.
“There’s no main character backstage, only a shared workspace,” they added, urging people not to “maliciously twist stories about female artists.”
Event staff also weighed in, explaining that with many guests and only three rooms available, confusion was almost unavoidable.
Some pointed out that if blame were to be assigned, it should fall on the event organisers for poor coordination — not on any individual performer.
Meanwhile, VOGUE’s chief editor reportedly commented, “Please stop spreading false rumours — be kind,” directly denying that the incident happened as described in online gossip.
Fans were quick to applaud the calm and transparent response from Nazha’s team.
Many praised her for handling the situation gracefully without pointing fingers, noting that her professionalism shone brighter than any controversy.
With major roles in To the Mountains and Seas, Great Dream Return, and Love in the Dust, Nazha’s image as the “Xinjiang Venus” remains untarnished.
This mini scandal, if anything, just reminded everyone that even glamorous events have chaotic corners — and that kindness and communication go a long way backstage.
