Taiwanese actress Cheryl Yang Jinhua (Yang Chin-Hua) has always been admired for her talent, grace, and grounded attitude — and now, she’s being praised for her honesty about a very personal struggle.

In a recent interview with Taiwanese media, the Queen star opened up about her ongoing efforts to have a child, revealing that she’s been trying various ways for years.

Despite not yet receiving the happy news she’s been wishing for, Cheryl’s spirit remains unshaken.

“I’ve always kept my body in good shape because I really want to experience pregnancy myself,” she said with a smile, radiating quiet determination.

Married to businessman Ben Chen since 2017, Cheryl Yang’s seven-year marriage has been described as loving and stable — a partnership full of laughter and mutual respect.

But behind that calm happiness, the couple’s journey toward parenthood hasn’t been easy.

Cheryl shared that while she has thought about different methods to have children, adoption isn’t in her current plans, as she still hopes to experience pregnancy and childbirth firsthand.

When asked whether she would consider becoming one of the “oldest mums in showbiz”, the 47-year-old laughed and replied brightly,

“I’ll do my best! We need to have faith. Let’s make a wish to the universe!”

Having worked hard in the entertainment industry for nearly two decades, Cheryl Yang finally earned her Golden Bell Award for Best Actress after years of dedication.

Her acting career is thriving, her marriage steady, and her optimism unwavering — the only missing piece, as she says, is a little one of her own.

Friends and colleagues, knowing how much she wants to be a mum, rarely bring up the topic anymore out of respect. But even so, Cheryl’s energy remains warm and hopeful.

“There’s still time,” she told the press, her tone full of quiet confidence.

“I believe it’ll happen when it’s meant to.”

Cheryl Yang’s openness about her fertility journey has resonated with many women who share the same struggle.

Instead of hiding behind pressure or gossip, she’s shown that hope, patience, and self-love are what truly keep the heart strong.

After all, as Cheryl said herself — “We must believe. The universe always listens.”
