Tencent’s upcoming Chinese costume drama A Decade of Nightscape Lights (江湖夜雨十年灯) has officially obtained its distribution licence, confirming its 40-episode run and sparking huge anticipation among C-drama fans.
Starring Zhou Yiran (周翊然) and Bao Shangen, the series is adapted from Guan Xin Ze Luan’s beloved novel “Ten Years Lantern on a Stormy Martial Arts World Night.”
The story blends martial arts fantasy with emotional depth, directed by Lu Hao Ji Ji, known for his strong visual storytelling in historical dramas.

Set against the backdrop of a turbulent martial world, A Decade of Nightscape Lights follows Cai Zhao, a lively yet ill-fated girl marked as a “witch,” who is forced to join the prestigious Qingque Sect.
There, she crosses paths with Chang Ning, a quiet, traumatised young man carrying the shadows of his family’s massacre.
As their fates intertwine, the two unravel dark secrets buried within the sect and find themselves trapped between rising tensions of the righteous and demonic realms.
