Lucine Becomes the First Member to Graduate from KLP48

Lucine Announces Graduation, Becomes First Member to Leave KLP48
Lucine Marks KLP48’s First Graduation, Ceremony Set for 19 October

Kuala Lumpur’s very own idol group KLP48 has just faced its first bittersweet milestone. On 18 September 2025, Lucine – real name Mireille Chin Yi Ling – went live on the group’s official Instagram and dropped the news that she’s graduating.

That makes her not only the first member of KLP48’s 1st Generation to bow out, but also the first-ever member in the group’s history to graduate.

Why Lucine Is Leaving

Lucine made it clear during her stream that the decision wasn’t about giving up or running away from the tough idol life.

Instead, she wants to push herself into new challenges and see what lies beyond the familiar world of stages and handshake events.

“Change is part of growth. I want to develop, not only as an idol called Lucine, but also as Yi Ling, myself,” she told fans.

She also took the time to thank her fellow members, the KLP48 staff, and most of all the fans who’ve stood by her from the very beginning.

“I wouldn’t have reached this point without your love and support,” she added with a smile.

Her Short but Bright Journey

Lucine was first introduced to the public on 27 July 2024 when KLP48 revealed its founding generation.

In just over a year, she’s managed to carve out a solid presence thanks to her charm, stage energy, and the way she connected with fans.

While her time in the group might feel short, it’s one that definitely left a mark.

The group’s management quickly followed up her announcement with confirmation: Lucine’s graduation ceremony is scheduled for 19 October 2025.

It’s expected to be a memorable send-off, closing the chapter on her idol career with KLP48 while also marking a first for the entire group.

For KLP48, this moment represents more than just one member leaving – it’s a sign that the group is entering its next stage. For fans, it’s a mix of pride, nostalgia, and a whole lot of emotions, seeing one of the pioneers step into a brand-new path.
