Chinese singer-actor Liu Yuning has once again had to step in and clear the air, this time shutting down persistent gossip linking him romantically to his manager.
During a livestream, Liu Yuning spoke bluntly about the rumours, saying he was fed up with the false talk:
“My manager has been married for ten years. Her husband often helps me out—even drives me around sometimes—though he isn’t part of the team. How can someone so kind to me be turned into the subject of such baseless rumours? And worse, people actually believe it. It’s disgusting.”

He went on to tell fans not to spread or entertain gossip about staff, stressing that fans are there for him, not for his team:
“First, I hope all my fans, old and new, don’t get involved in my staff’s private lives. You’re my fans, not theirs. Second, stop sharing these rumours. My manager is married. From today, let’s end this topic.”
To make sure his words couldn’t be twisted, Liu even asked that fans replay clips of the livestream as proof if anyone tries to drag the story up again.
While some fans suggested he take legal action, Liu made it clear he didn’t want to deal with the issue by threatening others:
“There’s no rush to sue. I don’t like to say threatening words or threaten people. If there’s an issue, I’ll speak about it myself—you’ll hear it from my mouth, not through the studio.”

That straightforward attitude had Weibo buzzing, with many praising him for being candid and respectful rather than hiding behind official statements. One trending post summed it up:
“This is what I love about him—if he wants to respond, he’ll do it personally. Respect to Ning ge.”
Liu Yuning also highlighted that fake rumours don’t just hurt him, they harm the hardworking people around him:
“These baseless stories don’t only damage my reputation—they wound my team, who give their best every day.”
For now, Liu Yuning is making it crystal clear: his manager is off-limits for gossip, and he wants the chatter to stop once and for all.
