Chinese short drama darling Han Yutong isn’t here for the haters. The 27-year-old actress, who’s racked up billions of views across her string of viral dramas, has gone viral once again—this time not for her crying scenes, but for her quick-witted clapbacks during a livestream with long-time co-star Zeng Hui.
A Star on the Rise
Han Yutong has become one of the most recognisable faces in China’s booming short drama scene. Standing tall at 172 cm and praised for her expressive acting, especially in emotional breakdown scenes, she’s headlined some of the genre’s biggest hits: Mr. Li, You Found the Wrong Wife (厉总，你找错夫人了), Flash Marriage: The CEO Is Very Poor (闪婚总裁都很穷), Beauty Can Flirt, Need to Be Pampered (戏精美人且会撩得宠着), and Oh No, My Boy Toy Is Actually a Big Shot (完蛋我养的小白脸是大佬).
Alongside actor Zeng Hui, she’s filmed more than 10 dramas, fuelling the hugely popular couple nickname “Luori Yuhui” (落日雨輝). Together, their works consistently dominate viewing charts, and their off-screen chemistry has kept gossip circles buzzing.
During a joint livestream, one viewer pushed things too far, writing: “You two look like mother and son.” Han didn’t hesitate:
“Mother and son? Who’s that? Kick them out. Let them calm down outside and think before they talk.”
She also addressed another jibe suggesting she wasn’t “worthy” of Zeng Hui:
“A woman isn’t good enough for a man? I’m not good enough? If you think you’re good enough, then come here—this seat is waiting for you.”

Her sharp retorts instantly trended, but it was Zeng Hui’s warm support that sealed the moment. Smiling beside her, he added:
“Of course she’s good enough. I feel lucky to be with her.”
The duo’s affectionate exchange melted viewers’ hearts, with comment sections exploding in messages like, “This is real love,” and “Who dares say they don’t match? They’re perfect together.”
This isn’t the first time the two have set tongues wagging.
Earlier this year, they were spotted shopping together during the Lunar New Year, and more recently, fans saw them side by side at a Mayday concert.
