| Actress Airi Matsui and Global Model KOHEI Announce Marriage on Instagram |
Actress Airi Matsui (28) has officially tied the knot with model KOHEI (28), announcing the happy news on Instagram.
Matsui uploaded a handwritten statement addressed to her fans and supporters, revealing her marriage and sharing her heartfelt gratitude.
“I’m getting married to model KOHEI. We’ll walk forward together while supporting one another. I’ll also keep working hard to grow and improve as both a person and an actress. I’d be grateful if you continue to warmly watch over us,” she wrote.
The actress, known for her roles in GTO (2014) and most recently leading the spring drama Shikyu Renai, signed the message personally as “Airi Matsui,” keeping the announcement simple yet sincere.

KOHEI Shares His Own Message
KOHEI also made the announcement on his own Instagram, posting a minimalist shot of the couple’s feet together along with his written note.
In it, he expressed his appreciation:
“I have got married. With gratitude to everyone who has supported me so far, I will continue to devote myself to my work. I humbly ask for your guidance and support as I step into this new stage of life.”
Standing at 1.88m, KOHEI is a globally active model who debuted in 2016.
He has walked in major shows for luxury brands including Prada, and appeared in more than 25 runway collections across global Fashion Weeks.
Matsui, originally from Fukushima Prefecture, first rose to fame in 2009 when she won the Nicola magazine model audition.
She later became the 6th “Zexy CM girl” in 2013, a role that propelled her into the spotlight.
From 2010 to 2012, she was also a member of the idol group Sakura Gakuin before shifting her focus fully to acting and modelling.
At 1.70m tall, she’s built a career that bridges both fashion and drama, steadily expanding her portfolio over the past decade.
Media Dubs Them a “Super Tall Couple”
With Matsui’s 1.70m frame and KOHEI’s towering 1.88m presence, Japanese media have already labelled them a “super tall couple”.
Fans online have praised the pair for their good looks, successful careers, and mutual support, with many commenting that their marriage feels “natural” and “well-matched.”
