| Locked in a Hotel Room and Given an Exorcism? Zhao Lusi’s Shocking Illness Revelation |
Chinese actress Zhao Lusi just dropped a jaw-dropping revelation that’s got the whole internet shook – and not in a fun, promotional kinda way. During a Douyin livestream on 4 August 2025, the Lover (恋人) star opened up about a shocking experience from December 2024 that still has fans fuming.
Apparently, while filming Lover, Rosy suddenly fell seriously ill – so bad she needed a wheelchair to move around. But instead of rushing her to hospital like any sane agency would, Galaxy Cool Entertainment reportedly locked her in a hotel room and brought in an exorcist. Yep, not a doctor, an actual “master” to perform a ritual they believed would drive out “evil spirits.”
Lusi didn’t mince her words:
“They thought I was under some spell. My parents were crying. I couldn’t walk. And they brought in someone to perform a ritual instead of getting me medical help.”

This bombshell came just two days after she posted a personal statement on Weibo (2 Aug), accusing Galaxy Cool of breaking verbal agreements, slapping her with a 2.05 million RMB fine for “breach of contract,” and withdrawing money from her studio account without her permission. To top it off, she said they’ve refused to hand back her studio’s management rights.
“There’s no need to wait for a ban,” Zhao Lusi wrote. “I quit!”
Then came the now-iconic livestream the next day (3 Aug), where she calmly addressed fans asking about retirement:
“I’ve earned enough over the years. If things really don’t work out, I’ll just open a little noodle shop.”
Cue an internet explosion. That line went viral overnight. Fans across Weibo, Douyin, and Xiaohongshu applauded her honesty, resilience, and seriously grounded attitude. While netizens praised her backbone, Galaxy Cool… well, they weren’t having it.
At noon on 3 August, the company fired back with an official statement expressing “shock and regret,” denying wrongdoing, and saying everything they’ve done was legally above board. They claimed Zhao Lusi’s posts were “ambiguous” and warned her to act “responsibly.”
But Rosy wasn’t done yet.
In another livestream, she slammed the agency’s internal culture, calling it “disgusting,” and accused them of emotional manipulation – even using her family member’s illness to control her.
“It may be easy for you to take advantage of me,” she said, “but it wasn’t easy for me to become who I am today.”
Despite publicly declaring she’s done, Zhao Lusi is still technically tied to Galaxy Cool for another four years. Unless they come to an agreement, this could turn into a lengthy, messy legal battle, the likes of which C-ent hasn’t seen in a while.
In the meantime, fans are rallying behind Zhao Lusi with hashtags like #ZhaoLusiBraveExit and #ProtectZhaoLusi trending across social media. Many are demanding stricter oversight over agency treatment of artists – especially when it comes to health, autonomy, and basic human dignity.
