Popular beauty and lifestyle YouTuber Emirin, born Emi Omatsu (31), has officially tied the knot and taken the surname Adachi.
Earlier last week, she shared the happy news with her 1.89 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, revealing that she and her husband, fellow YouTuber and company employee Adachi—known online as “Time Master-to-Be Adachi”—registered their marriage on July 20.
A Love Story Straight Out of a YouTube Project
The couple’s romance began in a truly modern and unique way. Emirin and Adachi first crossed paths during the “Emirin Boyfriend Audition” in March 2024, a viral project organised by fellow YouTuber Hikaru aimed at finding a romantic partner for Emirin. From a pool of hopeful applicants, Adachi was chosen—and their relationship quickly blossomed.

Emirin explained the timeline in her announcement video: “We started messaging in May 2024, began meeting frequently in June, and officially started dating in July. We’ve actually been living together for about a year now.”
The lead-up to their marriage unfolded in stages, keeping fans engaged. Back on June, Emirin shared a video showing off her engagement ring, explaining: “Technically, we haven’t done it yet, but we’ve promised to get married.” She also revealed that the couple had met each other’s families and were preparing for the big step.
Finally, on August 10, she posted a video saying, “We registered our marriage a little while ago,” officially confirming the July 20 date and introducing herself with her new name, Emi Adachi.
