XGALX, the agency behind global girl group XG, has just dropped a no-nonsense statement addressing a wave of malicious and defamatory content that’s been circulating across social media and even within the group’s official fan platforms.

In the official release published on 6 August, the label called out the increasing number of posts and videos aimed at embarrassing or ridiculing the members of XG, highlighting how some clips have been edited in highly inappropriate ways—with clear intent to shame, provoke or misrepresent.

The company didn’t hold back, making it crystal clear that they’re now pursuing both civil and criminal legal action against the perpetrators, no matter what nationality they are or where they live.

“Some of these videos were edited in ways that target the members’ dignity,” the statement reads. “This is not just a violation of copyright, but a direct infringement on personality rights and personal honour.”

And they’re not messing about. XGALX is ready to take all necessary measures—including identifying offenders, filing formal complaints, and seeking compensation for damages. They stressed this isn’t just about protecting their artists, but about taking a firm stance against the wider culture of online harassment in fandom spaces.

The statement added that they’re seeing this across multiple platforms—X, Instagram, YouTube, even the official fanclub—and that some of these videos amount to deepfakes or manipulative re-edits that strip away the original context. Fans are being urged to help flag harmful posts, with the agency rolling out a multilingual form where people can report dodgy content.

Fans are asked to include as much detail as possible—such as the date and time of the post, URLs, usernames involved, and screenshots or video links—so that the team can act quickly and accurately. While they may not be able to reply to every report individually, XGALX promises to investigate thoroughly and take appropriate legal steps.

“Freedom of expression matters, but when it crosses the line into targeted abuse, we will respond with strength,” the agency stated.

This move’s already been welcomed by fans, many of whom have been calling for stricter protection of idols against online harassment. With this legal push, XGALX makes one thing loud and clear: XG might sing about confidence and girl power—but behind the scenes, there’s a team making sure that confidence isn’t shaken by hate.

XG are continuing with their promotions undeterred, and fans can expect more updates soon—but as always, the message is simple: support, not sabotage.
