YOSHIKI, the renowned composer, pianist and drummer of X JAPAN, has sustained an injury to his right hand during a concert, following forceful physical contact from an audience member.
His official staff account issued an “important notice” on 24 August, explaining that at the previous night’s performance, a fan had grabbed and pulled YOSHIKI’s hand, resulting in an injury. He is currently receiving medical treatment.
Despite the incident, doctors have cleared him to continue his ongoing concert tour as scheduled.

The announcement underscored the significance of this tour, which marks YOSHIKI’s long-awaited return to the stage after undergoing a third major neck surgery. Out of ten scheduled performances, seven remain.
Staff stressed the importance of ensuring the artist’s wellbeing, asking fans to interact with him gently if given the opportunity.
“YOSHIKI has sustained an injury due to strong physical contact with his right hand during last night’s performance. He is receiving treatment and, under medical advice, will continue the tour. As this is a comeback tour following his third neck surgery, we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation so that he may complete the remaining shows safely,” the official notice read.

YOSHIKI’s resilience has been a defining trait throughout his career, with the musician balancing physical challenges against an unwavering commitment to his artistry.
His team’s reminder now calls on fans to respect his health and safety so that the remaining shows can be delivered in full.
