Tian Xuning Cut from Hello Saturday: Fans Left Shocked as Variety Show Debut Disappears

Chinese actor Tian Xuning made headlines again—but this time, it wasn’t for a performance or viral clip. The rising star’s first-ever variety show appearance on Hello Saturday August 16 has been mysteriously cut from broadcast, leaving fans buzzing with questions.

Tian Xuning recorded the episode on July, 2025, joining a star-studded line-up including Meng Ziyi, Zhou Ye, Cheng Lei, and Lars Huang

According to attendees, he sang two songs and actively joined in on games hosted by Yang Di. Yet, when teasers for the episode dropped, Tian Xuning’s presence was barely noticeable.

And when the full episode aired on August 16, fans noticed his scenes were either blurred, heavily edited, or reduced to brief flickers.

Tian Xuning Variety Show Debut Cancelled on Screen Despite Live Performance

Naturally, speculation ran wild. Many fans suspect that Tian’s cut could be tied to his past BL drama work, which has recently stirred controversy in China, as well as other personal controversies

Hunan TV, the network behind Hello Saturday, is known for being cautious about its on-air talent, often taking preemptive steps to remove individuals deemed “problematic” from broadcast.

This has sparked chatter that Tian Xuning might be facing unofficial restrictions on major televised platforms.

Fans who were at the live recording expressed disappointment, calling his absence a “loss for the programme.”

Opinions online were divided: some praised the show for initially inviting Tian Xuning despite his controversies, while others accused producers of leveraging his rising fame only to erase him later.

Despite this setback, Tian Xuning’s career momentum doesn’t seem to be slowing. He recently surpassed 800,000 Instagram followers with just a handful of posts, a remarkable feat for a rising star in the Chinese entertainment scene.

Currently, he is fully immersed in filming his latest project, One Day in July, while fans eagerly await updates.

Whether this cut signals ongoing broadcast challenges or just a one-off editing decision, one thing is clear: Tian Xuning’s star is still rising—and fans are watching every move.
