In her final letter, she expressed regret that she wouldn't be able to keep supporting Liu Yuning and his group, Modern Brothers, in person. Moved by her words, Liu Yuning made a promise — and he's been keeping it ever since.
From his very first concert after her passing, Liu has reserved seat 22 in row 9 at every show, symbolically leaving it empty for her.
The spot is dressed with a bouquet — white roses for pure love, lilies for remembrance, and a shining lightstick so, as his team puts it, “she can always find her way home, even in the dark.”

His team orders the bouquet 10 days in advance of every show, and each year — the anniversary of her passing — Liu quietly sends another bunch of flowers and tribute messages in her memory.

Even the florist who’s been arranging the bouquets all this time only found out the full story after seeing it online — and admitted being moved to tears.
“I thought it was just a regular fan gift,” the florist shared, “but knowing the meaning behind it now… it hits different.”
