The piece discussed how relationships can gradually lose connection when one partner appears unaffected, leaving the other feeling increasingly alone.
Tina’s comment “very accurate” certainly fanned the flames—but she’s now addressed the situation herself.
In a statement released through her agency, Tina Chou wrote: “Another couple has peacefully separated and is now living happily ever after. We married because of love and, after five years, we’ve decided to return to being just friends.”

She stressed that there were no serious quarrels or hidden affairs behind the split. Rather, the couple realised that the relationship that suited them best was one of family and friendship. “We both tried hard, but we also had to accept that love was gone,” she added.
Tina confirmed that the divorce proceedings wrapped up smoothly on July 24, with all formalities finalised. She thanked fans for their support and asked the public to move on to more meaningful topics now that the news has been shared.

“We are both committed to facing life’s challenges separately and continue to deeply wish the best for each other,” Tina said.
While the split may come as a shock to some, Tina Chou’s transparency and positive tone have been widely praised online, with many fans respecting their decision to part on friendly terms.
