Hong Kong actress Renee Dai has just shared some incredibly heartwarming news — she’s expecting her first child at the age of 40, following a long and emotional IVF journey. Posting on 1st August, the actress revealed the happy update with a series of elegant maternity photos taken at home, smiling radiantly with her growing bump.
She wrote, “We’ve finally gone from two people to three! At this moment, I’m truly so happy and incredibly grateful to the heavens for this precious gift.”
Renee Dai, who tied the knot with businessman Kyle Sun in late 2021, didn’t shy away from opening up about the intense fertility battle she and her husband faced. She shared that the pregnancy was the result of IVF (in vitro fertilisation), and it took several failed attempts before they finally got their miracle.

"It hasn’t been easy — we’ve been through countless attempts and failures, hopes and disappointments, but we never gave up. Finally, this miracle has arrived," she wrote.
And it truly was no small feat. Renee revealed she went through more than 300 injections during the IVF process — a number that left many fans stunned.
"Every single step required courage," she added. "I must thank the professional and attentive medical team. Every person involved played such an important role. Truly, it was ‘every hurdle difficult, but every hurdle overcome’.”

The actress also gave a heartfelt shoutout to her closest circle, thanking family and friends who stood by her through all the ups and downs.
