| Taiwanese Singer Eli Hsieh Reportedly Missing, Fans Urged to Help Find Him |
Whenever a well-known figure suddenly loses contact, it stirs up both worry and speculation. That’s exactly what’s happening right now in Taiwan, as reports spread that singer-songwriter Eli Hsieh (謝震廷) may have gone missing.
On 21st August 2025, musician Fan YangJing (范揚景) raised the alarm through an Instagram Story, writing:
“If anyone has encountered singer-songwriter Eli Hsieh, please contact me immediately!”
He also noted that “many people are searching” for the 31-year-old and asked the public for any information that could help. Fan didn’t share further details, such as when he last spoke with Eli, but the message quickly gained traction online.

A check on Eli’s official social media shows his last post was on 11th August 2025 (Monday). Since then, silence.
The update immediately set off concern among fans, who pointed out that Eli has faced a turbulent journey both personally and professionally. While some remain hopeful that he is simply laying low, others worry about his wellbeing, given his history of mental health struggles and recent controversies.
Eli Hsieh first caught attention in the Taiwanese music scene at just 13 years old, competing in a local talent show. A breakthrough came in 2015, when his debut album won him the Golden Melody Award for Best New Artist. His music often carried an intimate and confessional tone, resonating strongly with listeners.

Behind the acclaim, however, Eli has been open about his long battle with depression since his teenage years. He also revealed being bullied during school, forcing him to transfer three times.
In recent years, the headlines surrounding him have often been troubling. In January 2025, he was arrested after an altercation with his ex-girlfriend.
Later, he admitted financial struggles, even confessing to borrowing from loan sharks. By June 2025, he faced another arrest under suspicion of fraud, though the charges were believed to have been dropped.

Despite all this, Eli continued to release music. His most recent single, “Silver Lining”, dropped earlier this year, and fans hoped it signalled a fresh start.
At this stage, no official statement has been released from his family or management. Fan YangJing’s plea is currently the only public call, urging anyone with information to reach out directly via Instagram.
