Kyushu Girls Wing to Call It a Day Next Summer After 100th Show

Kyushu Girls Wing have officially announced that they’ll be disbanding at the end of August next year (2026), closing the curtain on nearly a decade of activity.

Formed in 2017 out of the ashes of I’S wing and Rev. from DVL, the Fukuoka-based idol group quickly carved out their own path, performing at some of Japan’s biggest idol festivals like TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL and @JAM EXPO, while also taking their energy overseas.

Their milestone 100th monthly live concert, scheduled for August next year, will serve as the group’s final performance.

The current line-up features founding members Miku and Shieri, alongside Suzukawa Luna (joined 2018), Kanon (joined 2022), and Kishiro Anna (joined 2023). P

Past members include Shingai Kanae and Yamamoto Airi, who both graduated before the announcement.

In an official statement, management explained that while the group had enjoyed steady growth and a loyal fanbase across Fukuoka, Tokyo, and Osaka, the highly competitive idol scene made it difficult to achieve their dream of becoming a truly nationwide household name.

The decision, made after months of discussion with the members, was described as “painful but necessary,” with a shared resolve to finish on the highest possible note.

Kyushu Girls Wing stressed that this final year won’t be treated as a farewell lap, but rather a chance to deliver their strongest performances yet, thanking fans for the support that’s carried them from local live houses to Zepp Fukuoka and beyond.

As they head toward their 100th show, the group are determined to make their ending chapter one that both members and fans will look back on with pride.
