It’s been a long five-and-a-half years since Hirate Yurina a.k.a Techi shocked fans by leaving Keyakizaka46, but the former centre proved she hasn’t forgotten her roots. This week, the actress and singer held her very first solo concert Yurina Hirate 1st LIVE “Zero” at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo – and the setlist had jaws dropping.

Throwback with “Dare ga Sono Kane wo Narasu no ka?”

Kicking things off in the boldest way possible, Hirate opened the night with Keyakizaka46’s final single “Dare ga Sono Kane wo Narasu no ka?”, even slipping back into the original stage costume.

The crowd – and later, fans watching the official YouTube stream on the 27th – couldn’t believe their eyes. For many, it was the ultimate full-circle moment.

Former Keyakizaka46 Ace Hirate Yurina Makes Bold Solo Debut with Nostalgic Setlist

From Debut to Legacy: “Silent Majority” and Nogizaka46’s “Kikkake”

If that wasn’t enough nostalgia, her second song was none other than “Silent Majority,” Keyakizaka’s explosive debut single that first introduced Hirate Yurina as the group’s face.

She then surprised everyone by jumping across the Sakamichi universe with a solo take on Nogizaka46’s “Kikkake.”

It was a setlist no one saw coming – literally going from Keyaki’s last to their first, before nodding to Nogizaka’s catalogue.

New Tracks and Covers to Show Her Own Colours

Of course, Hirate Yurina also used the stage to spotlight her own artistry. She debuted a brand-new song titled I’m human, adding raw emotion to the night.

To balance things out, she gave fans a rock-fuelled cover of Mika Nakashima’s GLAMOROUS SKY (famously from NANA), showing just how versatile she’s become beyond the idol image.

Fans React: “Chills, Tears, and Total Shock”

Social media lit up straight after the broadcast, with comments ranging from “ええ!!まじ!!! (seriously!!)” to “techi singing DareKane in the costume… I cried.”

Others wrote, “The group’s first and last song in one set. Goosebumps,” and “Keyaki to Nogi in one live, only Techi could do this.”

The reactions pretty much sum up how Hirate Yurina managed to both honour her past and carve out her own lane in one unforgettable night.
