| Cantopop Star Gillian Chung Dives Into Kuala Lumpur Street Food Adventure |
Hong Kong singer and actress Gillian Chung Ka-lai has been spotted enjoying a feast of Malaysian delights during her recent visit to Kuala Lumpur, with one particular dessert stealing the spotlight: roti tisu.
The Cantopop star, 44, shared her culinary adventure in a video posted on Xiaohongshu, revealing she was in Malaysia as a guest on the variety show Beauty Fafa.
After filming wrapped, Gillian Chung headed straight to Jalan Alor, the city’s famed street food hub, where her table quickly became a colourful spread of local favourites.

From perfectly grilled chicken wings to spicy satay and tender grilled stingray, Gillian Chung’s plate reflected the vibrant diversity of Malaysian cuisine. “Everything smells so good,” she exclaimed while sampling the array of dishes.
But the real star of the night was a towering roti tisu, presented to her back at the hotel by her staff. The paper-thin, crispy dessert had Gillian Chung giggling as she tried to figure out how to eat it.
“How do you eat this?” she laughed, carefully breaking off a piece before taking a bite and declaring it “delicious.” Fans quickly flooded the comments, delighted to see her enjoying the local treats and impressed by her youthful glow.

Gillian Chung first rose to fame in 2001 as part of the iconic Cantopop duo Twins, alongside Charlene Choi.
