Garnear Announces Disbandment

Garnear Calls It Quits
Garnear’s Rock Era Ends Early

Japanese rock idol group Garnear (ガルネア) has stunned fans with an unexpected announcement: the four-member unit will disband on September 9, 2025, marking an indefinite hiatus.

Formed just over a year ago on April 22, 2024, and debuting on May 18, 2024, Garnear quickly gained a devoted following for their vibrant performances and colourful member personas: Arkhi (Blue), Shuri (Purple), Iroka (Orange), and Satoha (Pink). The group is managed by Increption, Inc.

The official statement cites personal reasons for the sudden halt.

Satoha will be stepping back from group activities to focus on family life in Aomori, while other members have also been coping with health-related breaks.

The agency clarified that while the August 31 show in Shibuya and the final September 9 “The Gathering” vol.12 at Shinjuku SAMURAI are still on, the rest of Garnear’s schedule will see Arkhi and Shuri performing as a duo.

“In light of these circumstances and after careful consideration, Garnear will conclude its current formation on September 9 and enter an indefinite activity hiatus,” the statement read.

“There’s no clear timeline for resuming activities, and each member’s future plans will be shared once decided, respecting their personal wishes.”

Despite the bittersweet news, the agency thanked fans for their unwavering support.

Garnear to Disband

“It’s been a short but incredible journey. We hope everyone will continue to walk with us through these final performances. We promise to give our all on stage until the very last bow.”

Garnear’s rapid rise and equally sudden hiatus has left fans reflecting on what might have been a longer journey for the quartet. Their final shows are expected to be emotional, energetic, and packed with memories for the dedicated fanbase.
