| It’s Official: Esther Yu and Huace Part Ways After Contract Expiry |
Chinese actress Esther Yu Shuxin has officially ended her 8-year journey with talent agency Huace Film & TV, as of today, August 4 and it’s all looking pretty smooth.
According to a statement released by Huace via Sina Entertainment, the contract between both sides simply reached its end in late 2024, with no drama or early termination involved.
“There's no such thing as a termination,” Huace clarified. “The contract ended at the end of last year. We’ve worked together for 8 years, growing together. We wish Esther Yu all the best for her future.”

While some fans noticed earlier that Esther Yu had removed Huace’s contact from her social media bio—sparking breakup rumours—Huace’s calm and respectful statement seems to confirm that it was just a quiet, mutual parting of ways.
Esther Yu, who joined Huace in 2017, rose to fame through dramas like Find Yourself and reality show Youth With You 2. But it wasn’t until external projects like Love Between Fairy and Devil that her popularity exploded.
Many fans had long suspected that Huace wasn’t pushing her as strongly as they could have, focusing more on producing dramas than promoting their own artists.
