| Carman Lee’s Youthful Glow Has Thailand Customs Doing a Double Take |
According to reports from ETtoday, the 59-year-old actress revealed in a recent interview that airport officers scrutinised her passport, convinced she was sneaking through with someone else’s ID. One officer apparently asked, “Is this really your passport? Did you steal it?” before adding, “You don’t look your age at all.”
Carman Lee admitted she could only flash a wry smile during the questioning, but the story quickly went viral on social media.

Fans were in awe, estimating she looked more like 35–40 years old than approaching 60. Comments poured in praising her for seemingly defying time itself.
“I used to stress about aging when I hit 30,” Lee said, reflecting on her past worries. “But now at 59, I feel I understand life better, know myself more clearly, and am more at ease than ever.”
Standing at 1.65 metres and weighing 46 kg, Lee credits her youthful appearance to a lifetime of disciplined diet and regular exercise.

“I hope that even at 70, 80, or 90, I can still stay healthy enough to work out at the gym,” she added, giving fans a glimpse into her wellness mindset.
Before she lit up screens, Lee actually spent some time flying high—she worked as a flight attendant for Cathay Pacific.
Her acting debut came in 1990, but it was her iconic portrayal of Xiao Long Nu in the 1995 adaptation of Jin Yong’s The Return of the Condor Heroes that cemented her status as a TV legend. Jin Yong himself famously praised Carman Lee, saying she perfectly embodied the ethereal heroine he had envisioned.
Carman Lee’s airport encounter serves as yet another reminder: some stars really do seem to have found the secret to ageless charm—and apparently, customs officers are the first to notice.
