| AKB48’s Taguchi Manaka Announces Debut Photobook with Stunning Taiwan Visuals |
Looks like September’s heating up for AKB48 fans – Taguchi Manaka is officially releasing her very first photobook, and it’s dropping on 25 September 2025!
Titled simply “Untitled (TBA)” for now, the photobook will be published by Wani Books and showcases the current Team K standout in a beautifully shot collection taken entirely in Taiwan – a destination she’s long dreamt of visiting. The shoot was handled by seasoned photographer Fujiwara Hiroshi from Pygmy Company, known for capturing that fine balance between elegance and candid charm.
🌸 From Fresh-Faced Debut to Poised Performer
Taguchi first joined AKB48 as part of the 16th generation back in 2016, when she was just 13. Fast forward to 2025, and the Tokyo-born idol has grown into a confident 21-year-old known for her standout vocals, cheerful energy, and smooth MC skills. This photobook feels like a full-circle moment – a celebration of how far she’s come, and a glimpse into where she’s headed.

“I’ve always wanted to release a photobook as an AKB48 member – it’s been one of my dreams,” Taguchi shared in her official comment. “This time, I wanted to show a completely new side of myself, which is why I chose Taiwan for the shoot. There are so many different styles and moods we explored – it’s packed with variety and I think fans will find it exciting to flip through!”
🌆 What to Expect: Nostalgia, Nature, and a Touch of Grown-Up Glam
The photobook promises a vivid mix of visuals – from scenic Taiwanese streets with a nostalgic flair to the natural landscapes that provide a dreamy, romantic backdrop. There’s plenty of playful charm, of course, but fans will also notice a more mature, elegant side of Manaka making its debut.
There’ll even be a few firsts in this book – her first-ever lingerie shoot, tasteful yet bold cuts set in soft-lit spaces like bedsides and showers, offering a delicate peek into her womanhood without losing the joy and warmth she’s known for. Think youthful charm meeting grown-up poise – all bundled into one photobook.
