| NMB48’s Wada Miyu to Graduate in November 2025: “Thank You for Accepting Me” |
NMB48’s beloved Team M member, Wada Miyu, has officially announced her graduation from the group, marking the end of a vibrant and hard-fought five-year idol career. The announcement came during the Team M “M no Sign” stage held on 31 July 2025 at NMB48 Theater in Osaka.
With tears, laughs, and a whole lot of pride, 28-year-old Wada shared her heartfelt reflections:
“I, Wada Miyu, will be graduating from NMB48.”
It was a simple sentence—quiet but strong. And with that, she opened up about the highs and lows of her journey.
🪷 Joined Late, Stayed Strong
Wada Miyu joined NMB48 as a 7th generation kenkyuusei back in September 2020, already 23 years old—an age considered quite late for idol beginnings. From day one, it wasn’t all glitter and glam. She admitted openly:
“My idol life didn’t exactly start off smoothly. It actually took me three years just to make senbatsu, and during that time, I felt I couldn’t bring much good news to the fans who had supported me from the very start.”
Despite the setbacks, she never lost her grit. She was promoted in early 2022, later shuffled between Team N and Team M, and finally made her senbatsu debut in 2023’s “Nagisa Saikou!”

💬 "I’m Stubborn, I’m Loud, and I’m Very Much an Idol"
What kept her going? Her sheer determination and her refusal to back down from competition.
“Idols don’t have time to hesitate. While you're sitting there unsure, someone else will already be two steps ahead. I’ve always been super competitive, and honestly? That worked in my favour.”
She also showed some cheeky self-love, saying:
“I love myself—I think I’m cute, funny, and interesting. Being an idol in Namba really suited me. I’m glad I gave my all to this job that turned out to be my calling.”
🌟 "I Was Spoiled Like a Princess – And I Loved It"
In typical Wada Miyu fashion, she didn’t hold back from celebrating the fun of being adored.
“I’ve been spoiled silly throughout my idol life. Cheered for, loved, noticed—I’ve lived a whole lifetime of being doted on. And that makes me so, so happy.”
But beneath the humour, she left a touching message to fans and staff:
“If I could be even a tiny bit of a hero to someone out there, then I’m truly glad I became an idol. I can say it with pride—dedicating my youth to NMB48 was one of the best choices I ever made.”

🧢 Baseball-Loving Idol With a Big Heart
Wada Miyu wasn’t just known for her stage presence—fans also adored her hardcore baseball passion. A long-time Chiba Lotte Marines fan, she even ran a web corner titled “Wadamiyu’s Oshi Ette Marines” where she proudly introduced her favourite players and raved about her love for the game. From childhood Koshien visits to becoming a high school baseball manager, her love for the sport is deeply rooted.
🎤 Final Curtain Call in November 2025
Wada Miyu’s graduation is expected to take place around November 2025, and she has confirmed she won’t be participating in the next single. But until her last day, she promised:
“I’ll still be everyone’s cute idol right until the end, so please continue cheering for me.”
