BL Actor Tian Xuning Says Enough is Enough – Issues Final Statement on Private Life (Weibo) |
Chinese rising actor Tian Xuning has had enough of the internet chatter. On 11 July 2025, the A Day in July star finally broke his silence on Weibo, addressing recent viral rumours head-on — and with a legal warning to boot.
In a clear and composed statement, Tian Xuning made it crystal:
“I am currently single, have never been married, and have never had any children.”
He added that this would be his final personal clarification, saying he’s instructed his legal team to take action against accounts spreading false claims about so-called “secret marriage” and “hidden children”. The rumours had been swirling online for weeks, fuelled by blurry screenshots and chatlogs involving a supposed “wife” and a past co-star.
Tian also took the opportunity to apologise for how these discussions have hogged public space and created unnecessary misunderstandings:
“I sincerely apologise for this… I have entrusted my legal team to handle the matter fully. I will use legal means to protect my legitimate rights.”
Not stopping there, he called for public order and basic courtesy — especially after reports emerged of obsessive fans allegedly disrupting airport safety protocols to “catch” him during filming transfers.
“I firmly oppose any behaviour that affects flight safety or disrupts public order… I sincerely ask everyone to abide by the law, remain rational and respectful, and work together to maintain a safe and orderly public environment.”

Fans back him… but some still demand answers
The reaction online has been mixed. Many fans rallied behind him, saying it’s about time celebs stood up against “keyboard courtrooms” and defended their personal space.
“It’s getting out of hand. They want him to explain everything every time someone makes up nonsense,” one user wrote.
Still, some netizens aren’t entirely convinced, continuing to poke at the now-infamous “wife chat” screenshots that allegedly link him to a former female co-star.
Those chatlogs, while never verified, sparked heated debate and even dragged his upcoming drama A Day in July into the mess — with a handful of viewers on Douban and Weibo comments calling for a recast.
Fame, fanwars, and the price of BL stardom

Tian Xuning, who shot to popularity through his roles in idol and BL (Boys’ Love) dramas, isn’t the first to be hit by intense scrutiny. C-Ent watchers note that actors from this genre often find themselves stuck in the spotlight — not just for their work, but for every rumoured relationship, photo angle, and backstage whisper.
In recent years, it’s become common for personal lives to be weaponised by rival fandoms or gossip accounts chasing clicks. The result? Even unfounded speculation can damage careers and production reputations overnight.
