After months of anticipation, PRODUCE 101 JAPAN has officially announced its fourth season, coming under the fresh and ambitious title: ‘PRODUCE 101 JAPAN: Shinsekai (New World)’. Yep, they’re not just talking new trainees—they’re building a whole new playing field.
Auditions Now Open – And This Time, It’s for Everyone
Starting 17 July 2025, applications for the show are open to aspiring male trainees from all over the globe. That’s right—no nationality restrictions, no need to be based in Japan (aside from a few region exceptions). Whether you're from Tokyo, Toronto, or Timbuktu, if you've got the skills and dreams to match, you're in the game.
The goal? To form a global boy group with serious international pull—not just another K/J-pop unit for the local charts.
A Historic First for the Franchise: Global Voting and LA Auditions
What’s even more exciting is that PRODUCE 101 JAPAN is levelling up its reach. For the first time ever, fans across the world will get to cast their votes. 100% public voting will still decide who debuts, but now the audience is going truly worldwide.

To top it off, international auditions will be held in Los Angeles, USA—marking the first time a Japanese PRODUCE series is stepping onto American soil. It’s a bold move, and a clear signal that this season isn’t playing it safe.
Same Format, Bigger Stakes
As usual, 101 trainees will take part in a high-stakes, multi-mission competition featuring singing, dancing, and those classic survival show challenges we all love (and stress over). But with global exposure and fierce cross-border competition, this season is expected to bring out some of the most diverse talent yet.
The main format remains the same: tough stages, emotional stories, jaw-dropping performances, and ultimately, the fans choosing who makes the final line-up.
