Taiwanese actress and host Patty Wu (吳怡霈) has opened up about a personal betrayal that’s left her not just out of pocket, but completely heartbroken.
On 25 July 2025, while attending a public event, Patty bravely revealed that her longtime manager Jiang Yujin—who’s worked with her for over a decade—allegedly embezzled over NT$4 million (approx. USD 140,000) from her.
With tears in her eyes, Patty shared that she discovered the missing funds only after her accountant urged her to chase up some late payments from clients, which had reportedly been pending for one to two years. What started as a routine finance check soon spiralled into a full-blown scandal.
“My heart feels like it’s bleeding,” she said, voice shaking. “We’ve worked together for 10 years. I gave her my full trust… even the key to my house.”

When confronted, Jiang claimed that several companies simply hadn’t paid up. But one of Patty’s close friends—who also happened to be a client—showed proof of payment, which raised major red flags.
Digging deeper, Patty discovered that Jiang had been funnelling money into an old, inactive company account—an account that hadn’t been used officially for years. The trail led straight to multiple transfers totalling millions of Taiwan dollars.
Needless to say, Patty was shocked and devastated. More than just the financial hit, it was the emotional gut-punch of being betrayed by someone she considered family.
Family Furious, Legal Steps in Motion
Patty revealed that her husband and parents were livid over the situation, especially considering the level of trust she had placed in Jiang. While it’s unlikely she’ll recover the full amount, the case has now been handed over to her legal team, who will be pursuing the matter in court.

“I’m not just angry—I’m deeply disappointed,” she said. “This kind of betrayal… it’s not something you get over easily.”
Following the revelation, Patty also confirmed that she has officially cut professional ties with Jiang. The public, now aware that Patty herself was a victim, has rallied around her—relieving her from pressure and judgement from past speculation.
