In a recent interview, Liu Yuning opened up about why he’s not rushing into the world of big-screen cinema, and his brutally honest take has left fans both surprised and seriously impressed.
“I don’t think I’m good enough yet,” Liu admitted, in a calm and sincere tone. “If a production invests a lot into a movie and it ends up losing money because of me… the guilt would destroy me.”
While many rising stars might jump at the chance to headline a movie, Liu Yuning’s taking a more cautious—and frankly, mature—approach.

He emphasised that he’s still in the process of honing his craft. “Acting isn’t just about being on camera. It’s about respecting the story, the crew, and the investment behind it. I still have a lot to learn,” he shared.
That said, Liu Yuning hasn’t shut the door entirely. He’s open to making small appearances, perhaps as a guest star or in a supporting role.
“If there’s a chance to do a scene or two, I’d be more than happy. I’ll treasure the opportunity and do my best.”
