Heidi Chan, Spouse of Imprisoned Boss Alvin Chau, Sells Products Online to Provide for Family |
Heidi Chan — the wife of jailed scandalous Alvin Chau — has stepped up to the plate with a brand new hustle. With her husband serving 18 years in Coloane Prison, Chan, 45, has switched gears from living it large to flogging products via livestream sales to keep her family ticking over.
According to Sinchew, Heidi popped up in a livestream session on Sunday with an online celeb mate, showing off products to sell to fans. Rocking light makeup, a neat cropped hairstyle, and flashing a beaming grin, she looked in fine form despite the turmoil around her. It seems she’s not one to fade quietly into the background.

Besides her new livestream hustle, Heidi Chan’s no stranger to hard graft — she’s a qualified yoga instructor and even runs her own yoga studios in both Macau and Hong Kong. Before tying the knot with Chau, she was busy carving out a name for herself in the insurance sector.
The couple share two daughters, who have had to watch their dad go from business king to convict. Alvin Chau, 51, was once the head honcho of Suncity, the biggest junket operator in Macau, before being arrested in late 2021 on suspicion of money laundering and running dodgy rackets.

By January 2023, the Macau courts handed Alvin Chau an 18-year stretch behind bars for fraud, criminal association, and money laundering. Safe to say the fall from grace was a dramatic one.
Adding even more spice to the saga, Chau had an affair with Malaysian-American actress Mandy Lieu, now 39, who gave him four kids before they split in 2019. After the breakup, he reportedly forked out a jaw-dropping HK$300 million (about US$38 million) in a “break-up fee,” letting Lieu relocate to the UK with their children.
It’s no shock then that Heidi Chan is rolling up her sleeves and getting on the livestream sales bandwagon — making sure her daughters stay looked after while the business empire her husband built crumbles. It’s a proper reinvention tale if ever there was one.
