Flora Dai Yanni Robbed on Paris Highway: Warns Travellers to Stay Alert Abroad
Paris Scare for Dai Yanni: Chinese Star Robbed on Way from Airport, Speaks Out Online

Chinese actress and singer Dai Yanni, known to many from her stint on Youth With You 2, had a shocking experience during her recent trip to Paris — one she says she won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

In a social media post that’s now making rounds online, Dai shared that she was the victim of a lightning-fast robbery while on the road from the airport to central Paris. The incident reportedly took place on a highway near the airport, just moments after landing.

According to her account, the car she was travelling in was suddenly attacked by a man dressed entirely in black, wearing gloves, and seemingly well-prepared. The attacker smashed the front passenger window with what looked like a glass-breaking device and snatched a bag belonging to her makeup artist — all within seconds.

Actress Dai Yanni's Paris Trip Turns Frightening After Robbery Incident

Dai Yanni was seated in the back seat along with another friend, while the makeup artist was in the front passenger seat. Unfortunately, the latter sustained minor injuries to her leg from the shattered glass. Though visibly shaken, Dai expressed relief that no one was seriously hurt.

She clarified that while some valuable items were stolen — including bank cards and cosmetics — their passports and critical documents were safely kept on their persons, and not in the stolen bag. That, she noted, was a huge stroke of luck in an otherwise terrifying moment.

In the same post, Dai urged fans and fellow travellers to stay extra alert when going abroad, especially in unfamiliar places. “Keep your ID and important documents close to your body,” she wrote, adding that she never expected such a thing to happen so suddenly in a place like Paris.

The actress also uploaded a photo of the car interior post-incident, showing broken glass scattered across the front seat — a chilling reminder of how quickly things escalated.

While she didn’t name the exact location or time, Dai Yanni’s experience has sparked conversation across Chinese social media, with fans flooding her post with concern, support, and their own travel safety tips.

Many praised her calm response and appreciated the warning. Others shared that such smash-and-grab robberies are unfortunately not uncommon in major tourist cities — especially along highways connecting airports to downtown areas.

As of now, Dai Yanni has not reported any further follow-up with local authorities, but made it clear that the incident has left her “shaken” and more mindful about safety abroad.
