Looks like things are boiling over in Yu Shuxin a.k.a Esther Yu’s fandom, and this time, it’s not over her performance or styling—it's her management that’s getting grilled. After weeks of non-stop noise online, her studio has finally dropped a lengthy statement trying to cool things down and win back trust from fans.

In the late-night post, Esther Yu’s team addressed the mounting frustration over what fans say is “lacklustre” handling of her career, especially when it comes to endorsements and media exposure. 

Many felt the studio just isn’t fighting hard enough to secure top-tier deals for the popular actress and singer, especially considering her growing clout since 2024.

While they didn’t directly name names, netizens have been especially harsh on her agent, and things even escalated with fans flooding brand accounts that Esther Yu endorses, accusing the studio of “not doing enough.” 

The backlash got so out of hand that one angry comment even disrespected a late celebrity who previously worked with one of Esther Yu’s brand partners—an incident that went viral and stirred major controversy.

Now, in their Weibo post, the studio’s tone is part-defensive, part-humble. They start by urging fans to trust that they’re all on the same side:

“Please believe us. We’ve been with Shuxin all along. Just like the fans, we want to protect her and help her grow,” they wrote.

The team also confirmed that they’ve been listening to feedback—yes, they saw all your complaints—and admitted that there’s definitely room for improvement. 

But they also pointed out they’re bound by confidentiality clauses, meaning they can’t spill all the behind-the-scenes details that fans might be demanding.

To ease tensions, the studio promised practical steps: increasing the number of liaison staff, improving communication speed, and continuing to fight for better resources and fair opportunities for Esther Yu going forward.

But they also took a firm stance against over-the-top online behaviour, warning fans that extreme or disrespectful comments could cause unnecessary legal issues or hurt Esther’s image in the long run.

“We accept constructive criticism and supervision,” they said, “but we absolutely do not support excessive or inappropriate behaviour.”

In closing, they appealed to unity, reminding fans that they’re part of the same journey as Esther Yu herself:

“We hope your love and support can continue to be her driving force.”

Still, not all fans were convinced. Many continued to vent in the comments, with replies like “Enough empty words—show it through action!” and “Why let people who don’t care about her manage her future?” trending shortly after the statement went up.

Whether this response is enough to cool things down remains to be seen, but one thing’s clear—Team Esther Yu is under serious pressure to step up their game, and the fans? They're not backing down anytime soon.
