| Daoko Gets Kawaii-Chaotic in “Zense wa Busho” – EP & Asia Tour Incoming |
Japanese singer-songwriter and multi-hyphenate artist Daoko is kicking off a brand new chapter in 2025 with a sparkly fresh digital single titled “Zense wa Busho”, now streaming on all major platforms. This marks her first musical drop since the genre-bending 2024 album Slash-&-Burn, and it’s already got fans buzzing.
Co-created with Seiichi Nagai of QUBIT (where Daoko also moonlights as lead vocalist), Zense wa Busho blends cheeky lyrics, nostalgic guitar tones and that hyper-kawaii, post-Shibuya-kei aesthetic she’s oh-so-good at. It’s equal parts dreamy and chaotic—in the best way possible.
And that cover art? Total eye candy. Designed by visual artist Ace Akira, it fuses retro pixel art with neon chaos—like if Harajuku got sucked into a cyberpunk time loop. A matching lyric video using the same visuals is dropping very soon, so keep an eye out.
But that’s not all—we’re getting a digital EP too! The full release is scheduled to land on 19 November 2025, featuring Zense wa Busho and more tracks yet to be teased.
🌏 Touring Time: Daoko’s Hitting Asia This Autumn
It gets even better. Daoko’s about to head out on her first-ever solo Asia tour, titled THE “YOU” ZIZAI ASIA TOUR 2025. The tour kicks off 5 September in Shenzhen and will swing through major cities including Shanghai, Bangkok, Taipei, Seoul, and finally Tokyo on 28 November at Shibuya WWW X.
The tour title merges the idea of “YOU” with the Japanese word “ZIZAI” (meaning freely or at will), echoing the same message as Slash-&-Burn: tearing down old layers and creating space for something wilder, newer, and more you.
She’ll be supported live by GuruConnect on bass/manipulator duties and Beat Satoshi (aka Rhythmkills) on drums—so expect a full-body sonic experience.
