| Lu Han’s “Gaunt” Look Sparks Buzz, But Chen He Says It’s Just Hard Work, Not Heartbreak |
Chinese actor Chen He has come out to calm the storm after fans went into meltdown over Lu Han’s noticeably thinner look, sparking yet more chatter about a supposed breakup with long-time girlfriend Guan Xiaotong.
Chen He, chatting away on a recent livestream, reckoned folk were getting way ahead of themselves. He insisted Lu Han’s slimmer, more chiselled appearance had nothing to do with heartbreak, but rather everything to do with grinding away for his big concert tour.
“He must’ve put in loads of effort,” Chen He told fans, “probably exercising and running every day to be in this state now.”

Fans had clocked that Lu Han looked a bit gaunt at his gigs lately, leading to wild theories that he was struggling emotionally after splitting with Guan Xiaotong.
The rumour mill has been churning since February, and things only heated up in April when Guan Xiaotong skipped her usual happy-birthday shout-out to Lu Han, sending Weibo into a proper frenzy.
But Chen He wasn’t having it, basically telling everyone to chill out. “Don’t worry about it,” he said. “He is in good shape now and exercises every day.”

As for the elephant in the room — the actual breakup — Chen He stayed tight-lipped, simply saying “I don’t know” when asked directly about the rumour.
So, while nobody’s confirming or denying if Lu Han and Guan Xiaotong have called it quits, Chen’s sticking to his story that Lu Han’s transformation is down to sweat, not sorrow. Fans can rest easy — at least health-wise — their idol’s still standing strong.
