Big congrats are in order for ex-idol and Juice=Juice founding member Yuka Miyazaki (31), who just revealed she’s expecting her first child! The news dropped on June 2 via her agency’s official site, and yep – baby’s due this summer!
According to the announcement, Miyazaki is currently in a stable stage of her pregnancy and feeling well. She’s now enjoying a bit of calm and quiet in her personal life, surrounded by support – and fans, she hasn’t forgotten about you.
She’s promised to share any updates about her return to work once she’s adjusted to life as a new mum and feels ready again. For now, she’ll be stepping away from the spotlight temporarily to focus on the new journey ahead.
🍹 From Hello! Project to Mum-to-Be
Yuka Miyazaki, originally from Ishikawa Prefecture, shot to fame back in 2013 when she became both a founding member and the first-ever leader of Juice=Juice, one of Hello! Project’s freshest idol groups at the time. The group quickly made a name for themselves, even winning Best New Artist at the 55th Japan Record Awards later that year.

After six solid years in the industry, Miyazaki said her goodbyes to both Juice=Juice and Hello! Project in a grand graduation concert at Nippon Budokan in June 2019. Since then, she’s been exploring her own pace outside the idol world. And in August 2023, she shared another life update – her marriage to a non-celebrity partner.

In her personal message to fans, Miyazaki wrote:
“I’m happy to share that I’m expecting my first child. My health is stable now, and I’m spending peaceful days thanks to the support from people around me. After giving birth, I’ll be taking a short break, but I’ll keep growing and doing my best. I’d be grateful if you could continue to watch over me warmly.”
