Hong Kong-based Malaysian star Vic Teo is setting the record straight after gossip columns stirred the pot over his close-knit friendship with longtime pal Kelvin.
The two have been spotted together a fair bit lately, prompting whispers from netizens and media alike — but Vic says there’s nowt romantic going on.
The rumour mill got spinning after Hong Kong outlets picked up on how the pair seemed “inseparable,” especially during the rough patches of Vic’s career.
But when reporters caught up with him outside a recent TVB programme recording, he was quick to shut down the speculation.
“He and I have been like brothers for years,” Vic said. “We’ve run a production company together for 16 years now. We even set up a company in Hong Kong for fan club stuff. During my lowest point, he really pulled me through.”

When gently probed about all the fuss over his private life and orientation, Vic kept it light and breezy, cheekily name-dropping Samantha Ko Ling instead.
“I like Samantha Ko. I admire her for her hard work, her performance and beauty,” he grinned.

But don’t go shipping them just yet — when asked if he fancied getting to know her better, Vic was honest: they’ve crossed paths, but never swapped contacts. No moves made, no texts exchanged. Just pure admiration, according to him.
For now, Vic’s love life seems to be on the back burner — he’s focused on work, good mates, and giving credit where it's due.
And as for the gossip? Seems like Vic Teo’s taking it all in stride — with a wink, a laugh, and a firm “nah, mate” to the dating chatter.
