RELIEF Ticket by STARTO: Safe and Official Way to Resell Your Concert Tickets at Face Value (Livedoor) |
STARTO ENTERTAINMENT has officially rolled out its brand-new ticket resale service, RELIEF Ticket, aiming to finally stamp out the shady black market scene that’s plagued concertgoers for years.
The system, launched on 23 June, is managed by Young Communication (YC) — a STARTO subsidiary that handles concert planning, production, and management for its roster of talents. RELIEF Ticket lets fans resell their tickets to other fans strictly at face value. There’s no messy back-and-forth between buyers and sellers either, with RELIEF Ticket acting as the middleman to keep everything smooth and safe.
Ticket sales company Pia will take charge of handling the actual sales process, making sure payment and ticket transfers are above board and secure.
Fighting the Scalpers Head-On
It’s no secret that STARTO has had more than its fair share of headaches over ticket scalping. Some punters have been forced to fork out eye-watering prices to see their favourite idols live. Although Japan’s 2019 law banning illegal ticket reselling threatened prison time or hefty fines for scalpers, the problem never really went away, with countless events still plagued by overpriced resale tickets and unhappy fans.
To fight back, STARTO and YC have been steadily stepping up their crackdown. Last December, they even demanded data disclosures from sites like Ticket Jam and Ticket Ryutsu Center, and went as far as booting scalpers out of their fan clubs.
How RELIEF Ticket Works
Importantly, you don’t need to talk to the seller at all — RELIEF Ticket handles the entire exchange and issues a new digital ticket once a match is made. That means no arguments, no scams, no “meet-ups gone wrong” horror stories.
The resale window usually runs from five days before a show until two days before, with available shows highlighted right on the top page of RELIEF Ticket so fans know what’s up for grabs.

Details of which concerts are eligible for RELIEF Ticket will generally be announced about two weeks before each tour begins, giving fans time to plan.
In short, STARTO’s message is clear: say goodbye to scalpers and hello to a safer, fairer way to get in the door to see your favourite stars.
