| KLP48 Launches 2nd Gen Auditions — Dream Big, Idol Hopefuls! |
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — Ready to step into the spotlight? KLP48 has officially opened the gates for their long-awaited 2nd Generation auditions, giving a fresh wave of aspiring idols a shot at chasing their dreams.
The Malaysian sister group of Japan’s iconic AKB48 — and the 10th international sister group under the 48 brand — is on the hunt for talented young women who’ve got the passion, personality, and performance chops to carry their legacy forward.

Applications will be open from 1st July until 1st August 2025, with no restrictions on nationality — as long as you identify as female and are aged 13 to 23, you’re good to go. If you’re under 18, you’ll just need a parent or guardian’s blessing before you jump into the world of showbiz.

Once the first screening wraps up, shortlisted candidates will head to round two of auditions on 23rd and 24th August 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, before the final rounds on 6th and 7th September 2025.

KLP48 — launched in January 2024 with its striking Malaysian jade-coloured logo symbolising empathy, harmony, and multicultural values — is buzzing to welcome a new generation of members. They’re promising a golden chance for the chosen few to train, perform, and grow into full-fledged idols.
