Japanese Idol Group Insecure DOLL Announces Shock Disbandment
August Marks the Final Bow for Insecure DOLL — Idol Group Officially Disbanding

J-Pop idol group Insecure DOLL has announced they will officially disband on 22 August 2025, closing the curtain on a journey full of ups, downs, and fierce determination.

Originally debuting in July 2021 under the name InsecureDOLL, the group’s early days were cut short when they suspended activities just four months later in November. But showing a trademark fighting spirit, they relaunched in January 2022 with a fresh outlook, eventually shortening their name to Insecure DOLL.

In May 2023, the group made headlines by breaking away from their agency to go fully self-produced, a bold move that won them plenty of respect among fans. Since then, they’ve juggled line-up changes, member graduations, and new recruits — showing grit even in the most unpredictable of circumstances.

The current line-up includes founding member Shien Miku (Purple), as well as Fuyutsuki Haku (Blue), who is set to graduate a few days before the group’s final show on 17 August. Newer members Roromiya Akki (White) and Himeragi Myun (Pink), who both joined in 2023, will also be there for the group’s last hurrah.

Over the years, Insecure DOLL has seen quite the revolving door of talent. Among the former members are Nekomiya Ayuka, Uzuki Nono, and Shirasaki Maria from the founding line-up, plus later additions like Kurebayashi Chisato and Hizume Ramu.

The official statement from the group pulled no punches about how tough the decision was. Addressed to their loyal supporters, it read:

“To everyone who has always supported us, we are truly grateful from the bottom of our hearts. Every smile and kind word we received became our treasure, and thanks to your encouragement we were able to keep facing forward even when things were hard. Although each of us will walk our own path from now on, we want to continue delivering hope in the time we have left. Please stay with us until our final day.”

Insecure DOLL Disbands This Summer

The group says they’ll keep giving their all until their final performance, promising fans a proper send-off worthy of all the memories they’ve shared.

After nearly four years of twists, turns, heartbreaks, and fresh starts, Insecure DOLL’s story may be drawing to a close — but its legacy of resilience and connection to fans will stick around far beyond August.
