Kelly Cheung Excited to Pair With Moses Chan for the First Time in 'Hap Yi' |
TVB veteran Moses Chan has wrapped up filming on the upcoming traditional Chinese medicine-themed drama Hap Yi <侠医>, starring alongside Kelly Cheung and Karl Ting. But while the cameras have stopped rolling, Moses’s grind definitely hasn’t. According to recent tabloid reports, the actor’s been going full throttle—not just for the love of acting, but also to bring in extra income for his family.
In true Moses style, even with late-night shoots under Hong Kong’s infamous hot-and-humid summer skies, he stayed full of energy with zero complaints. Speaking with the press, he shared, “I heard this is the only drama being filmed in Hong Kong right now. I’ll cherish this.”
As for those saying he’s carrying the family’s financial weight, Moses didn’t shy away from the topic. “Thanks for the concern,” he said warmly. “I face the same pressures as anyone else. It’s not more or less, but I enjoy it. My family’s happy, and I’m proud I can sprint for them. It’s never felt like hard work. I don’t plan to retire—I’ll keep doing my best so they can live comfortably.”
And Moses isn’t stopping at drama work—he’s jumping straight into filming a commercial next. “The economy’s tough, so having work is a blessing,” he added.

Dancing, Singing… and First Kisses?
Outside of dramas, Moses and wife Aimee Chan have also been keeping busy as a duo. The couple recently made an appearance on a Chinese variety show, giving fans a cheeky look into their married life—complete with dancing, singing, and some sweet couple moments.
In one hilarious segment, the two were asked who made the first move during their very first kiss. Moses proudly owned up: “It was me! In the car, actually.” He then jokingly pretended to wipe his mouth after the confession—classic Moses banter.
Kelly Cheung Buzzing Over Onscreen Couple Pairing
Co-star Kelly Cheung couldn’t hide her excitement about finally playing a couple with Moses. “This is the third time I’ve filmed with Moses, but the first time we’re paired up! I’ll be filming sweet scenes with him and it’s a comedy drama too—I’m honestly so happy.”
She also shared some fun tidbits about her storyline with Karl Ting. “Karl’s character has been chasing after me from episode one! When I show no interest, he even tries to bribe me with money. But my character’s got strong principles!”
Karl Ting’s Villain Debut—Shirtless and Sinister
Meanwhile, Karl Ting is stepping out of his comfort zone—way out. Hap Yi marks his first time playing a villain, and he warned viewers not to expect a soft antagonist. “My character is not above doing some serious crimes,” Karl said, hinting at darker themes behind the light-hearted romance.
He also revealed he’ll be going shirtless in a scene, cheekily adding, “I’ve definitely got a fitter body now compared to when I did Anonymous Signal.”
TL;DR:
Moses Chan’s putting in the hours for both love and family—leading Hap Yi with zero complaints and loads of passion, while also prepping for ad work and keeping things fun with wife Aimee Chan. Meanwhile, Kelly’s buzzing to finally couple up with Moses onscreen, and Karl’s going full villain (abs and all). Sounds like Hap Yi is shaping up to be one to watch!
